The Futuhat Project is the translation project by Dr. Eric Winkel of the entirety of The Openings Revealed in Makkah, al-Futuhat al-Makkiyah by Muhyiddin Ibn al-Arabi. Volume 3 contains Books 5 & 6 of The Openings Revealed in Makkah and the project is anticipated to be completed in nineteen volumes. With Books 5 & 6 we are still in the maʿrifah section of this great work, presented with knowings and tastings of what we must recognize. In Book 6 the Mysteries of Prayer chapter begins and will continue through Book 7, in Volume 4. From 2012, Dr. Winkel has been working exclusively on translating this work in order to produce the first complete translation into English of the Futuhat-Makkiyah.
